How to get the hairstyle you want in Animal Crossing City Folk? ›

Like in Wild World, the player's hairstyle in Animal Crossing: City Folk is determined by their answers to Kapp'n's questions at the beginning of the game and can be changed at Shampoodle for 3,000 Bells. There are four new hairstyles for each gender, making for a total of twelve.

She gives the player a wide range of hairstyles. For the entire list of hairstyles and colors, go here. If the player is not happy with their hairstyle one must save and go back because she will only do the player's hair once a day.

In City Folk, the player lives in a town consisting of 6-10 animal villagers. They can take the bus to travel between the town and city, exploring various locations and meet more characters. In the town and city, the citizens pay in a currency called bells, which buys tools, furniture, and certain services.

It must first be unlocked by spending at least 10,000 Bells between the Able Sisters store or Kicks. Kicks must also have been open for at least seven days before construction begins. Afterwards, it takes four days for Shampoodle to be built. The player can only have one re-style a day.

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Shampoodle is located on the second floor above Able Sisters on the right side of Main Street. To unlock the store, the player must spend 30,000 Bells in Able Sisters or Kicks and 10 days must pass after Kicks opens. It takes 3 days to open.

A bedhead is a messy hairstyle introduced in City Folk. A bedhead only occurs if the player has not played for 15 days. The only way to remove a bedhead is to go to Shampoodle, a hair salon in the city, or on Main Street in New Leaf, and get a new haircut for 3,000 Bells.

Note that if you do not like the hairstyle, you can select "Oh no..." for Harriet to revert your hairstyle back. Doing so still unlocks the new hairstyle that she had provided.

Once you've gotten all of Harriet's styles, she'll no longer offer her services, but you can still chat with her during your visits.

After each shop is opened, Harriet will offer the player a hairstyle. After unlocking all seven hairstyles, her shop closes; from this point onward, she instead wanders around the island alongside Harvey, providing small talk when spoken to.

In City Folk

As with Wild World, the player is presented with a cake on their birthday by a villager. In this game, the player has the option to eat the cake. If they do, they will blush and flowers briefly blossom from them.

Kicks (Japanese: Shoe Shank) is a store found in New Leaf run by Kicks. It is built next door to the Able Sisters tailor shop when the player has spent 8,000 Bells in Able Sisters. 10 days must also have passed since the creation of the Town. It takes three days for Kicks to be built.

Once the player's Resident Services has been upgraded from a tent to a building, Tom Nook will call the player as soon as they leave their home, and will ask them to visit the airport, where they meet Lottie.

At Shampoodle the player can get a makeover by either changing their hair style and color, eye color, or adopting a mask of their Mii character. Once open, the player can only have one makeover a day, costing 3,000 bells.

The look of your face and eyes in Animal Crossing: City Folk (ACCF) is dependent on how you answer three of Rover's questions on the bus when you first start the game. After entering your name, tell Rover that it's "cool" to play as a boy, or "cute" to play as a girl.
