These easy Oreo cookie truffles are the perfect dessert for parties or gatherings. We make these for every bridal or baby shower in our family and everyone LOVES them. With just three ingredients needed to make this cookie truffles, there’s no reason not to make them.

A lot of people refer to them as goose berries, and these are common truffles around Christmas time, but I honestly enjoy these alllll year round. I mean three ingredients? And Oreo cookies and cream cheese? who wouldn’t love this recipe?

We highly recommend making these, but I must warn you, once you taste one, prepare to eat half the batch. They are just that amazing. In fact, you may just want to double it right now, because you won’t be able to resist these bad boys.

If you’re a truffle lover don’t miss out on these Chocolate Chip Cookie Truffles!

Could I use chocolate instead of almond bark?

This recipe calls for almond bark, but white chocolate would work just as well. They may take a little longer to harden, so you may want to place them in the fridge to let the white chocolate set up, but almond bark or white chocolate would work just as well.

If you want to make these extra rich, you could also dip them in dark or milk chocolate.

Do these Oreo Cookie Truffles freeze well?

These actually freeze great! They are so simple and delicious, and the chocolate preserves well, as long as it is stored well.

We recommend storing them in an airtight container or in a ziplock bag, with all the air sucked out.

To thaw them, we recommend setting them in the fridge 48 hours before serving, or on the counter 24 hours before serving.

They are also kind of delicious when they are partially frozen, as well.

These will last and preserve well in your freezer for a month or two.

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but what type of cream cheese do I use, there is so much out there on the market know. Is it just the normal cream cheese spread in the jar LOL!

  9. Cyd says:

We use the cream cheese that comes in the 8 ounce package. It's found by the spreadable cream cheese in the jar. Comes in an 8 ounce block. Hope this helps.

  10. Emily says:

I am making this for a group of elementary girls I teach on sundays at church. I CAN'T WAIT to make them tonight. But, I don't want 3rd and 4th graders high on sugar! :) How many should I give one girl? At least how many truffles are in a serving??So excited for these!

  14. Cyd says:

This recipe makes about 36 Oreo Truffles. We love these and I think 3 or 4 would be plenty. But I'm sure they'll keep eating them as long as you keep offering!

  15. Kara says:

I love these!!! Thank you for the recipe! I was wondering how long you think they will keep in the refrigerator....and how long do you think they are okay to sit out? Thanks!

  16. Cyd says:

They will be fine in an airtight container in the fridge for a few weeks. They are fine to sit out for a few hours!

  17. Greg says:

Wow these look awesome! How much is 1 package of baking chocolate exactly? Don't they come in different amounts? How much did you use?Lots of questions haha but I can't wait to try these, thanks for sharing!

  18. Cyd says:

Almond bark comes in a 24 ounce package. You could melt half of it and see how far it takes you. You can always melt more as needed. You can also store any leftover melted chocolate in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat it for another time. Hope this helps!

  19. Carol says:

I have seen this recipe before and would like to make them for Christmas...do you think these can be frozen as they would not last in the fridge till then if I make them now.

  20. Cyd says:

These freeze fine in an airtight container or freezer container.

  21. Abby Gardner says:

Could you use white chocolate instead of almond bark?

  22. Cyd says:

You can definitely use white chocolate chips with this recipe.
